3 Best HTC Tablets for Android: Limited But Nice

When I started my search for the best HTC tablets for Android I initially assumed there would be dozens to choose from. The company is known for pumping out some solid phones, but to my surprise, they actually don’t have that many tablets to choose from.

Yes, they are the manufacturers of Google’s Nexus 9, but other than that they really have only two other options that are worth considering. That doesn’t mean you should completely write off HTC during your tablet search, since the Nexus 9 is a pretty awesome device, and the other two tablets hold their own quite well.

Let’s take a look at the best HTC tablets to see if they might be a better fit for your budget and functionality needs.

1. Google Nexus 9: $399.99

Google Nexus 9

Still One of the Best

Google wouldn’t choose HTC as its manufacturer for the Google Nexus 9 if it wasn’t certain they would come up with a great product. And, of course, they did. The Nexus 9 is a powerful device, even though the price range might drop it down the list for some people.

With the most recent version of Android L, and striking photos that comes from the rear and front cameras, you really can’t go wrong with the Nexus 9. Even if you can’t find a reason to purchase the other options on this list, the Nexus 9 is still one of the leaders in the industry.

Why should you buy it?

  1. A powerful NVIDIA Tegra K1 2.3 GHz x64 Processor
  2. The rear camera is 8MP and the front is 1.6MP
  3. It weighs less than one pound

2. HTC EVO View: $219.99

A Decent Size With Loads of Storage

The HTC Evo View is not exactly one of the most popular tablets in the world, and I can’t really give it much of a boost with my rating, since the price still isn’t right. You’ll notice on the Amazon page that you currently (during the time of this article) can’t buy a new HTC Flyer, and the used options are not on the cheap side.

I would recommend doing a little further research on the HTC Flyer, because you might be able to grab a refurbished or even new one somewhere online. The only reason I would buy it is if the price were drastically decreased.

Why should you buy it?

  1. Comes with a nice Snapdragon 1.5GHz processor
  2. Comes with two powerful cameras
  3. You can use the HTC Scribe digital pen with the tablet, but it is sold separately

3. HTC Flyer: $265.00

Only One Camera, But Some Nice Internal Storage

The HTC Flyer is an older tablet, but the large internal storage really stands out to me. If you don’t care about having two cameras, and you really want to store quite a few images or videos, this might turn out to be a viable option for you.

The price tag is not the greatest, but once again, you might be able to find a more appropriately priced item if it was refurbished or used.

Why should you buy it?

  1. Comes with 1.5 GHz processor
  2. The 32GB of internal storage is one of the best in the business
  3. The internal GPs antenna isn’t all that revolutionary, but at least you know that you have that capability

Out of all the HTC tablets for Android I would always go for the Nexus 9. If you can’t swing the price tag, then look at some of the other options, but remember that you will almost always be sacrificing on features. Not to mention, the purchasing options are severely limited online.

HTC is a quality company, so make sure you don’t forget about them when you start searching for Android tablets. Let me know in the comments section if you have any questions about these choices.
