Android has made everything easier, including doing your makeup! You can now try out new looks without much effort thanks to the best make up apps for Android. Little while back it would have been impossible to try out new shades of lipstick and see how they went with your dress; these days you can do exactly that in a few seconds.
As someone who has a beard and don’t wear makeup at all, I thought I wouldn’t be the best guy to write about the best makeup apps for Android. Thankfully, I have a few friends that do wear makeup and are quite fashionable. So, I kind of forced them to try out these apps and give me their honest opinions about them.
Note: the best makeup apps for Android were tested on various devices not only by me, but also 3 makeup loving other people. I only measured how well the apps performed and how easily accessible their features are, and they worked perfectly fine. Some of the features will require an active Internet connection.
1. YouCam Makeup – Magic Selfie Makeovers
YouCam Makeup is certainly one of the most popular make up apps for Android and there are several reasons behind that. For one, is a great make up app that doesn’t take up too much system resources or battery, and secondly it comes with a beauty camera built-in for those extra special selfies.
Another great feature on this makeup app is the ability to try on different accessories in 3-D. For example, if you want to try out a new spectacle frame, you can do so really easily with YouCam Makeup. There is a lot of variety available so you’ll be trying out new glasses for a long while.
If you want to get virtual makeovers and in real time, this is the app you should get. I also really like the dedicated eye features that make your eye color shine and almost naturally conceal under eye circles. I’ve been told that the mascara tool also works wonderfully on this app. Overall if you just need one makeup app for Android, you should get this one.
2. MakeupPlus – Makeup Camera
If you’re looking for an app that allows you to edit your selfies and try out new looks, then MakeupPlus is one of the best apps for you. The app will allow you to change your lipstick color, apply contour, change your eyelashes, style your brows, and even change your hair color.
These are a lot of options for you to try on, and all of them worked perfectly even on budget phones. I personally really love the ability to change your hair color without much effort. Is it perfect? No, but it is still really fun to do.
Another great thing about this app is that it allows you to purchase real products from your favorite brands. So if you like a certain look, you can apply it in real life as well. There are also props that you can use on your selfies to make them more funny and stylish. You can even change your hairstyles to match your current mood.
3. YouFace Makeup – Makeover Studio
YouFace Makeup is relatively new and offers a lot of filters like other makeup apps on the list, but it also offers something unique. It allows you to change individual features of your face and make them more in line with what you want. For example, if you want to line up your eyebrows, you can easily do so with this app.
Of course, the app also offers predefined makeup presets that allow you to change your look with just a single tap. When you’re in a hurry, you can easily touch up your photos and get pleasing results. But if you want deeper control, you can also do that. From changing skin tones to applying tans to adding blush to removing shine, the app has a lot to offer.
There are also hair centric features that allow you to change your hairstyle and color in just a few taps. The app also allows you to try out different hairstyles over any face type thanks to the great facial detection system.
These were some of the best makeup apps for Android and we hope that you have a lot of fun with them. It’s extremely wonderful to see how far augmented reality technologies have progressed over the years. These advanced make up apps for Android are not only fast but also quite accurate.
