Google has developed an image recognition technology called Google Lens. The app identifies using visual analysis. Moreover, it does not only name objects but also gives out relevant information related to the object. 

Simply point your camera to an object around you, or take photos of objects, and Google Lens will identify that object for you. Also, you can do image searches on the app as well. 6 Steps on Using Google Lens

Step 1 

Sign in to the app with your existing Google credentials or create a new one.

Step 2

You’ll find the Google lens icon on the homepage on the search bar.

Step 3

Tap OK in the permission alert to let Google access your camera.

Step 4

Point Google Lens at an object you want to identify or know more about. 

If the lighting is poor, you can activate your phone’s flashlight using the lightning bolt icon to illuminate the object in the frame.

Step 5

Tap the shutter button. Google Lens will then identify the object you snapped and will display relevant information relating to the object.

Step 6

If you want to use Lens on the picture you’ve already taken, tap the picture icon at the bottom left (next to the shutter icon) to access your photo library, and select a photo.
