If you have blocked the person’s phone number manually, it should show on your phone’s Blocked List. You can unblock them by accessing that list and removing them manually.

A. How to unblock a number on Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+

Method 1:

  1. On the Home Screen, select the Phone icon.
  2. Tap Menu (this is the 3 vertical dots on the upper right hand of your screen)
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Block Numbers. You will be able to see all the blocked numbers on the screen.
  5. Select the number that you wish to unblock by tapping the minus (-) sign beside it.

Method 2:

  1. Select the Contacts icon on the Home Screen
  2. Locate the name of the contact that you want to unblock
  3. Tap the small i button
  4. Tap the 3 vertical dots
  5. Select unblock

Method 3:

If the contact called you and you still have the number on your recent call list, you can:

  1. Select the Phone icon from the Home Screen.
  2. Locate the contact.
  3. Press it once
  4. Tap the small i button
  5. Tap the 3 vertical dots.
  6. Select unblock.

B. How to unblock a number on Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+

The methods are similar to S9, however, the interface is not the same.

  1. Tap the Phone icon from the Home Screen.
  2. Tap the 3 vertical dots.
  3. Select Settings.
  4. Select Blocked Numbers
  5. Locate the contact that you wish to unblock and tap the minus (-) sign beside it.

C. How to unblock a number on Samsung Galaxy S7 and S6

  1. Tap the Phone icon from the Home Screen.
  2. Select Contacts.
  3. Select More on the upper left screen.
  4. Tap on Settings.
  5. Choose Call Blocking (for S7) or Call Rejection (for S6)
  6. Select Block List (for S7) or Call Rejection (for S6).
  7. For S6 users, select Auto Reject.
  8. Locate the contact that you wish to unblock and tap the minus (-) sign beside it.

D. How to unblock a number on Samsung DUOS

  2. Select Menu>Settings>Call>Call Rejection>Auto Reject
  3. Select the phone number of a person
  4. Tap on Auto Reject

E. How to unblock a number on Samsung Core Prime

  1. Select Contacts from the Home Screen.
  2. Select Menu>Settings>Call>Call Rejection
  3. Select Auto Reject.
  4. Select Menu.
  5. Select Delete
  6. Locate the contact that you wish to unblock and select Delete.

F. How to unblock a number on Samsung J7

  1. Select the Phone Icon from the Home Screen.
  2. Go to Menu>Settings
  3. Select Blocked Numbers
  4. Locate the contact that you wish to unblock and select the minus (-) sign beside the contact.

Generally, you can use both the Phone icon or the Contacts icon to access your blocked list. You just have to be patient in locating it depending on your Samsung phone’s model.

How to Unblock Phone Numbers That You Blocked Using an App

If you have blocked contact from an app, you can unblock them from the app itself. Say, for example, you blocked somebody from Whatsapp, you can find your Blocked list by:

  1. Open Whatsapp
  2. Go to Settings>Account>Privacy>Blocked
  3. Choose the contact that you wish to unblock
  4. Scroll down to Unblock Contact.
