How to Root Samsung J3

How to Quickly Root Samsung Galaxy J3

If other Samsung phones have been too costly, the Samsung J3 is an option that’s budget-friendly. It manages to stay under $200, and really doesn’t look half-bad with an option for a stylish metallic-gold finish. However, it doesn’t exactly come in at the top of the list in terms of performance. It’s not bad; just not the best.

It also comes with a Lollipop rather than a fresh Marshmallow. To boot, the phone is saddled with some of Samsung’s usual bloatware.

Rooting your Samsung J3 will afford you more control over your phone’s speed and will allow you to really push your phone harder. You can also optimize your phone’s memory, resulting in better performance. For easy, safe, supported and guaranteed rooting of any android device I have tried Once Click Root and it worked. Apps that eliminate redundancy and improve automation also tend to work better on rooted phones.

Some examples of apps that will help you accomplish these things once your J3 is rooted are:

Before We Begin:

    • Tap on Build Number seven times.
    • Go back to Settings.
    • Click on Developer Options.
    • Enable USB Debugging.

Method 2: Root Samsung J3 using Kingo Root

Some claim that it can root any Samsung. While I can’t vouch for that, I can attest that many people find this to be a simple and versatile tool. It does consider Samsung to be a very popular brand (and rightfully so), so it’s put a lot of effort towards Samsung devices.

1. Download Kingo Root

Download and install the Kingo Root software to your PC. Windows is necessary for this method. If you are working with a Mac, you will want to use a different method, like Method 1.

Download: Kingo Root

Conclusion

Rooting can also enable an upgrade to Marshmallow and subsequent updates much faster. Instead of waiting on a service provider to get around to your phone, you can have access as soon as the file is available online. Rooting will also allow you to get rid of the unnecessary bloatware. Would you like to be able to customize your phone? Consider a custom ROM.

If you want to use a method that is made just for Samsung, Method 1 could be your best bet. The rooting file is also especially for the type of processor your J3 contains. Kingo Root and Root Genius both specialize in being able to provide root to a wide array of devices. Over time, more options will probably become available for the J3.

Regret your root? Read the article about how to unroot a Samsung below. You will find the process for unrooting to be similar to the one used to root. Keep in mind that unrooting your device is not without risk.

      1. This piece, while well written needs research. Many of the J3s dont have a root yet, don’t have TWRP available and the author here is a bit irresponsible.

The fact that you advocate use of the info stealing malware known as kingoroot tells me that you probably aren’t a dev, an affiliate marketer perhaps, and a really good writer of clear instructions, just not entirely correct instructions.

Folks, the ONLY site I trust completely for all things root is XDA Developers a cooperative community of the real devs that make the real ROMs and apps we use everyday. I’ve spent many, many hours fixing “helpful, expert” advice from other sites.
